An intruder hacked into a bridge and stole $100 million in cryptocurrency

The hacker hacked the blockchain bridge of project Horizon, which operates on the Harmony network. The attacker made 11 transactions within 18 minutes and then began sending the stolen tokens to be exchanged on the Uniswap. In total, developers discovered about $100 million missing. Now they are actively working with forensic experts and authorities to catch the perpetrator and return the funds.

The Harmony bridge allows tokens to be transferred between different networks, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Bitcoin. On the evening of June 23 the project announced the suspension of the bridge. This information is from site CryptoDeFix. BTC funds were not affected during the attack.
