An investor lawsuit has been filed in Central District Court in California against boxer Floyd Mayweather, star Kim Kardashian and former NBA player Paul Pierce for helping to promote the altcoin EthereumMax. This was reported by the news portal Law360.
“Defendants touted the prospects of the company and the ability for investors to make significant returns due to the favorable 'tokenomics' of the EMAX Tokens. Information from catalogue cryptodefix.com. In truth, defendants marketed the EMAX Tokens to investors so that they could sell their portion of the float for a profit,” the complaint filed with the court said.
EthereumMax became widely known in May 202. Then the promotional post was published in his Twitter, Paul Pierce, after which the price of the altcoin EMAX reached a maximum and began to decline.
