Astroport
A decentralized exchange on the Terra blockchain.
Astroport description
Astroport is a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange existing in the Terra ecosystem. Users can sell and buy tokens on the exchange, as well as participate in liquidity pools. Astroport operates under the Automatic Market Maker (AMM) mechanism. The exchange began its existence in 2019 and is a replacement for the Terraswap exchange.
To work with the exchange, users need to connect a wallet that works in the Terra network, such as Terra Station. There are 38 coins and 46 pairs on the exchange. The minimum exchange fee is 0.1%. When swapping currencies, the user selects the pairs with which he wants to make an exchange and exposes the value of the main token. This information is from platform cryptodefix. The user can also create liquidity pools by selecting two pairs and investing some assets in them. Astroport supports two types of pools - Uniswap’s Constant Product formula pools and Curve’s StableSwap Invariant formula pools. Liquidity providers earn fees from other users’ participation.
Astroport has its own ASTRO token. It is also used in pools, it can be earned as a reward for creating liquidity, and it can also be used in staking. ASTRO serves as a management token, token holders can participate in votes for the future of the exchange.
